Alycia Szeto
Trainee Counselling Psychologist
Alycia Szeto has a master’s degree in psychology and psychological counselling. She is currently a trainee counselling psychologist in her final year of the Professional Doctorate at City, University of London. She is a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), a graduate member of British Psychological Society (BPS), and an in-training member of the Division of Counselling Psychology.

Alycia adopts an integrative approach guided by her training in psychodynamic, cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), systemic, existential, and person-centred modalities. She values helping clients identify their relational patterns, gain a stronger sense of agency by becoming more aware of their own thought processes, and take initiative to make meaningful changes.
She has experience working within public and private sectors and with a variety of psychological challenges, including complex trauma, depression, anxiety, self-esteem related issues, relationship difficulties, disordered eating, and neurodiverse conditions. Alycia is bilingual in English and Mandarin and has ample experience of conducting therapy in both languages.
Prior to becoming a psychotherapist, Alycia had a career in international marketing and completed an MBA degree. She has also worked as a professional interpreter/translator and lived in multiple countries.
