Charlotte is a Trainee Counselling Psychologist in her final year of the Professional Doctorate
at City University of London. She is a graduate member of the British Psychological Society,
and in-training member of the Division of Counselling Psychology.
She has studied n person-centred, cognitive behavioural, and
psychodynamic approaches, and has gained experience working with a number of
psychological difficulties, including bereavement, depression, anxiety, OCD, trauma, self-
harm, and low self-esteem and body image difficulties. She also values adopting an
integrative approach to her work, rather than focussing on one single modality, to ensure
that every client receives treatment tailored to their specific goals and needs.
Charlotte is passionate about bettering the treatment of Eating Disorders, and has a
particular interest in those that are intergenerational, with her thesis looking to explore
what it is like for recovered anorexic mothers, to care for their daughters who are also
struggling with AN. You can find out about Charlotte’s research project here.
On a personal note, Charlotte grew up in Surrey, and likes to play the piano in her free time.
